By the middle of the week the clouds parted and we were able to access the alpine. We were delighted to find perfect powder up high and shredded the endless open slopes until we reached treeline where we continued float, drop, and dodge through forest all the way to the valley. A tremendous week.

By the end of the week we got out skiing for full days and enjoyed all the storm snow. We had a lot of really good skiing. The guests left happy and tired.

We got inundated with a large system early in the week that dropped over 70cm of storm snow. When the system cleared, our guests got a stellar day of deep tree skiing. Unfortunately temps rose after the storm and low valley fog resulted in some down days. As the weather cleared, we were rewarded with a spectacular day at the end of the week. The large accumulation of snow this week will pay handsome dividends in the weeks to come.

The last week of the season for Ripley Creek and it was a great one. We started off with 25cm of fresh snow and went tree skiing in Surprise. Then we ended with some fantastic days skiing our Big Glacier Zones with small snowfalls each night. Grand Duc, Johnson Icefield, Frank Mackie Glacier and Cambria Icefield. Truly an Epic way to finish. Thanks to all our guests for coming to Last Frontier Heliskiing and we hope to see you in the future.

This week we did an amazing Safari exchange deep in the heart of the vast Last Frontier Heliskiing tenure. Along with that we skied amazing tree runs when the weather came in and took advantage of our big Alpine zones in Bitter Creek and the Grand Duc when the sun came out. Another very memorable week, one of the best of the season...but the funny thing is we keep thinking that each week. It has been a truly epic season.

An awesome week of skiing some of the deepest snow this season. The new snow just kept coming all week with total accumulations over 100cm. This meant we spent the whole week shredding the trees of Deep and Surprise Creek. Over the head turns, pillow drops and face shots never ended. Several guests said the last run of their trip was one of best runs of their lives...Jungle Boogie. The snow factory East of the Bear Pass is open late this year.

This was truly one of the most epic weeks of skiing this season. Last weeks big winter storm was topped up with incremental amounts of very low density snow amounting to an additional 50cm making for bottomless powder in the trees at the beginning of the week. The sky cleared in the final days and the snow stabilized allowing us to ski some of our biggest alpine lines in huge glaciated terrain with excellent powder snow. Congratulations to Eric Rochat for skiing the most vertical this season at Ripley Creek, 70,670 meters.

This week we saw very few clouds. It was cold, crisp and the scenery was stunning. Windy days eventually succumbed to calmer days and the Safari played out perfectly mid week. Despite the firm snow conditions in the alpine, we found many stashes of preserved powder at treeline and even snagged a few first descents. Thanks to the Rees Brothers and all their friends for skiing with us as well as all the rest of the guest.

Over one meter of storm snow greeted our riders as we started our week. We feasted on ridiculously deep tree skiing conditions on our first ski day. Sunny skies dominated the rest of the week as we traveled to the four corners of our tenure, sampling amazing snow conditions throughout the area. Every day was a gift but the standout day must have been the tour of the amazing Bowser River valley, the gigantic alpine runs were in perfect condition. Swiss, Argentinians, Aussies, Canucks, and a Mexican, our international team became fast friends, bonding over the love for powder.
